A marble plaque next to the main entrance indicates the mosque&nbsp;was originally commissioned by Sidi Mohammed ben Abdallah&nbsp;in 1785/1199 AH, and that t was rebuilt and restored by Hassan II to&nbsp;celebrate his 40th birthday in 1969/1389 AH.&nbsp;
