Terengganu State Museum Complex
Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia

Given the clients desire for grandeur and massive floor area for this natural site, the architects had to seek a design approach that could ensure that the tranquility and scale of the environment could be preserved. By setting the building away from river, the calm of the river is maintained.

Drawing inspiration from the original pre-fabricated panels of the wall of the Malay house, the glass-reinforced concrete panels were designed to reproduce the plain panels as well as intricately carved flower patterned panels. The museum building complex can be extended without compromising on original design concept.
