This memorandum was written by Fathy in response to a request from the High Commission For The Sciences in Egypt in reference to the Model Village of Gourna Project. The memorandum outlines ongoing research proposed for the project. The research presented in this memorandum mentions construction methods, possibilities for laying the foundation, roof construction, health facilities, atmospheric agents and thermal comfort in design plans, economical studies, social studies, and the training of skilled laborers.
