This essay explores museum curation, interpretation, and narratives through exhibitions and object biographies ‐ but also through a geographically-situated lens in the post-colonial Pacific. The author explores the shift in praxis as she journeys from Euro-American to Muslim-majority to Polynesian cultural contexts, and the effects of this exploration in her curatorial work and its reception.
