Selisik Hausemann Residence
Bodrum, Türkiye
All the spaces of this house are arranged in a U-shape around a courtyard, a space designed to allow the residents to take full advantage of the sea views and the Mediterranean climate, which is conducive to outdoor living for most of the year. The main structure is a reinforced concrete post-and-beam system, while the ceiling is of timber beams and plywood. Limestone is applied both horizontally (on some of the floors, alternating with wood) and vertically (on the north and west facades, to establish a visual hierarchy).
