Eddé Sands Resort
Jubayl, Lebanon
The Eddé Sands beach resort and spa takes its architectural cues from the nearby citadel of Byblos, but was built much faster the original model, being 'conceived, planned and executed to its finest detail in the record time of three (3) months'. To meet the requirements of fast-track construction, standard concrete was used, ready mixed or mixed on site. Prefabricated concrete slabs and beams accelerated the erection and pouring operation. Internal partitions are of block wall construction, while external walls are finished in coloured plaster cement (rather than regular plaster, which would have required an additional time-consuming coat of paint).
