Re-use and adaptation of a 100-year old oil factory into a shopping centre and tourist attraction, in a town on the shores of the North Aegis Sea. With the economic shift away from small industry in the 1950s, many factories were abandoned and neglected. Only three out of the seven stone buildings comprising the complex remained untouched, the rest were restored to varying degrees. The pink coloured local stone called "sarimsak tasi" was used for the walls, doors and window frames. Other building materials include wood, iron parapets for the windows, cement, and brick.
