"Designed for Fumm al-Khalig in Egypt, the Sada al-Bariya Villa pragmatically links living quarters for the owner with two additional rental units. All three elements, while joined, are self-contained with separate internal stairs making a two-storey plan feasible. While the building again reflects a Modernist direction, there is a vestigial central court used to provide privacy, and evidence of the kind of spatial organization that was to become so characteristic of the architect's work."
