Nazhvan Suburban Natural Park
Isfahan, Iran
This 1'230 ha suburban park is outside Isfahan on the banks of the river Zayandeh-roud, the only permanently-flowing river on the central Iranian plateau. The park re-creates a link with the city centre, with a ring road to limit future urban expansion. Illegal constructions on the site were demolished. The area contains sports fields, playgrounds, pedestrian paths and bicycle lanes.
