Islamic Institute of Xinjiang

The institute comprises three buildings linked by two covered walkways The entrance to the main building gives on to a domed lobby and faces the central staircase. Two corridors lead from the lobby to the dormitory on the left and the dining hall on the right. Access to the dining hall can also be made directly from the outside. The upper three floors accommodate lecture rooms and offices. The facades are composed of a series of pointed arches, and decorated with coloured ceramic tiles, mosaics and various elements including minaret-like towers at the corners.
