Kazi Khaleed Ashraf: Architecture in the Public Realm
The Bengal Institute, with the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, conducted a special course on architecture that shapes our thinking and practice: Learning from the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
Presented by Kazi Khaleed Ashraf "One must think of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture as something that has expanded the scope and validation of architecture. It sets up new standards in excellence in architecture. The Award identified and created a process by which excellence can be validated, it expanded the scope of what should be considered excellent. The associations of architecture and the diversity of projects was enriched and the interdisciplinary conversations were started."
Professor Ashraf also focuses on the architecture in the public realm.
