INDUS VALLEY COMMUNICATION DESIGN
3RD YEAR STUDENTS
This collection of images represents work done by third year students in Communication Design at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi, Pakistan, performed under the supervision of their instructor, Farah Mahbub [see India and Turkey images]. The images were taken by the students while on their senior class study trip to India in 2004. The body work is both striking and restrained in its sense of composition and imagery.
The study trips are usually conducted in places such that students can increase their knowledge of the people, environment and culture. This particular class visited the historical cities of Delhi, Agra, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. As a part of their final portfolio, they are required to compile a travelogue. This is a part of their assignment that is mandatory before graduation. The work is carried out in colour and black/white photography.
The copyright for these images reside with the individual photographers. ArchNet has received written authorisation and permission to feature these images.
