Notes

Casbahs and nomad tents were the touchstones for the design of this house on the Gulf of Almekis. The circulation core -- two 'vast staircases', weaving between interior and exterior -- took as its starting point the intertwining forms of the arabesque. The house has a reinforced concrete structure with breeze-block infill. (Source: AKTC)
