Abstract |
Our modern world live within new phenomena which emerged since the
Industrial Revolution in 19th century. These phenomena are: ecological issues and sustainability, globalization, economic growth, technological development, information revolution and postmodern sciences.
All these new phenomena affecting architecture. This study search the influences, changes, and development of these new phenomena and architecture which appear to escort them.
The study divides the impacts of these new phenomena on three levels, first: on architects, profession and education development. Second: on design thinking methodologies. Third: on architecture schools of thought.
The study conclude that architecture can never come to an end, it react with all influences and develop itself. Designer must be attentive to the vague future. |
