Abstract

This thesis studying the Impact of Recent Public Buildings on the Architectural Style of Aqaba city, especially the commercial recent building. It aims to explore the compatibility of the new buildings with urban context and their ability together to integrate to give the city a unique architectural style. Also studying the comprehensiveness of the Aqaba special economic zone authority's architectural guidelines especially for public building to contribute to give the city its unique style. And by theoretical and analytical studies, the research conclude that the special architectural style the city come by the integration between all its elements, and the architectural guidelines must take in consideration the particular functions for each city's uses. Also the process development should compatible with the heritage and culture of the city.
