Abstract:
The research aims to discuss and evaluate the role of the private sector in housing development in the city of Amman, according to the fixed objective, the main frame contains five chapters, the first chapter discusses the general concepts of housing development, theoretical analysis, programs, and problems ... etc.
The second chapter sheds light on housing situation in Jordan and Amman as a special case, analyzing housing lands, finance, problems, needs, policies, corporation ... etc. the third chapter is an analytical study of the private companies and housing development from social, economical, and planning aspects, while the fourth chapter is discussing case studies of some countries which have similar condition of housing policies in Jordan.
Finally the fifth chapter is an evaluation and discussion of the main types-of housing unit product of these companies from architectural, functional, and technical aspects. The impact of the political transformations upon the urban form of the Arab Muslim cities |
