hi everybody. i am final year architecture student from ahmedabad,gujarat. and about to start my thesis this january. i am interested in doing project in himalayan region. i have been to vishisht village some years back. there are natural hot water springs.there is also a beautiful temple. is there any possibility of doing design thesis over there? the recent photographs which i saw , there is plenty of traffic jams by vehicles. and also the buildings near the temple which have came are really of those cement concrete bldgs of poor quality. i feel that may be something could be done to restore its originality. and may be one privately owned bath house resort may be added. there are some complexity involved as its already been a throbing religious place where no attention is given over there and there is plenty of dirtineess by the public in the area.
please if anyone have any information regarding any potential changes in thet area plz do let me know.

Meehaj, You could try writing to the mayor of the village, or to the governor and religious authorities for the region. But it would be diplomatic not to mention the dirt.

yes sir. actually i am planning to go there in december and meet the authorities over there and discuss the matter with them. which would be appropriate rather than speculating things from my side which i am not fully aware of. thanks for the reply.

meehaj , do not worry about present status , architects dare to trade difficult path , use your gutts and will to study and find solution appropriate to the local situation.....regards.
