Landscape Architecture   Gardens, before 500 B.C. Hi everyone! I am searching for some resources about pre-Achaemenid garden design in Mesopotamia or Iran. Peiman, the only thing I can think of is "The Hanging Gardens of Babylon". An archaological book I have shows an imaginary picture of a ziggurat-type building with many levels of garden terraces. Merci. Yes, I have seen the images but I want to know more about its planographics, as if it comes to possiblity that this garden can be an ancestor to Takht Baghs (level gardens) of Iran. I have read some about planted straight streets in Urartu and Assyria which may be some old ancestors of Chahar-bagh school of landscape. Dear Peiman, I've seen a great study of "Persian architecture museum-garden" (bagh mozeye memariye Iran) in Jahdad Daneshgahi in Tehran University Faculty of Fine Art.
