Iosif Ploshko

Polish-born Iosif Ploshko lived and worked mainly in Azerbaijan. He is known for his buildings in Baku, including the Ismailiyya Palace (1913), the "Wedding Palace," built as the residence of Murtuz Mukhtarov (1911-12), and the present-day Baku Puppet Theatre, originally built as the Phenomenon casino (1912).
