Images of Sultan Han and Koza Han
Hello fellow archnet members,

I am looking for a publication-quality image of the Kosk Masjid in the Aksaray Sultan Han caravansaray, and also one of the Kosk Masjid in the Koza Han in Bursa. These are for publication in a non-profit scholarly article on Ottoman art- I will gladly send a copy of the final article to anyone kind enough to provide such images, and will obviously credit the photographer within the article!

Many thanks,

Margaret, Have you tried the Turkish Tourist board? or the Institute of Turkish Architects? etc

Thanks Frank,

Actually, I am having a pretty hopeless time trying to get images of museum objects in Turkey from the Turkish Museums directorate, and haven't had any luck with the Turkish tourist board on this one. Do you have any contact info for the Institute of Turkish Architects? I can't find them on the web.

Best,
Margaret

Margaret, I do have several friends who teach architecture in Turkey.

You could try "METU" (Middle Eastern Technical University) in Ankara. I know there is a School of Architecture there. Or try "ITU" (Istanbul Technical University (again, with a School of Architecture).

The academic year in Turkey has just started, so there should be someone.

Failing that, you could try contacting the Mayor of Bursa and asking for his help.
