Hadim Ibrahim Pasha Mosque
Hello!

I feel lucky I've found archnet.org, this is a really great site. So I'm new to this community.

Maybe you could help me. I searched through the database but I couldn't find anything about the Hadim Ibrahim Pasha Camii in Istanbul, aka. Silivri Kapi C. Is there nothing about this mosque here or is it my fault that I could not find anything?

I'm a student (art of history) from Switzerland and need some infos for a work.

Hadim Ibrahim Pasha Mosque
Dear Konrad,

Indeed, Hadim Ibrahim Pasa Mosque does not appear to be in the Digital Library yet. I think the best source for you would be the newly published tome on Sinan by Gulru Necipoglu, Aga Khan Professor at Harvard University. The book is entitled "The Age of Sinan, Architectural Culture in the Ottoman Empire". Chapter 10 is dedicated to the patronage of grand viziers, including Hadim Ibrahim Pasa and the mosque is explained in six pages with photographs, plans, architectural description and quotes from historical sources.

Let me know if you have difficulty getting to this book.
